Bible Gateway's Verse of the Day
  • John 14:23
  • “Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”

Daily Manna from the Net [NIV]
  • Daily Manna from the Net for Monday, September 6, 2010 [Psalm 91:1-6]
  • He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.' Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. Psalm 91:1-6 NIV Listen more >>

Expanding God's Kingdom through the Power of Team Commitment

Once again, we have been blessed to enter a New Year. And, Again, Our focus will remain the same, "Expanding God's Kingdom."  Building and Expanding God's Kingdom is a life-time mandate from the Lord. It is the first thing on our Lord's agenda, and it's the great commission of the Church.  Yes, expanding God's kingdom should be the priority of the church (Mt. 6:33) "But, seek the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things shall  be added unto you." Therefore, every day of our lives, we must put forth our greatest effort to fulfill our great commission.

We must always understand and remember that "Expanding God's Kingdom" is not a simple and easy thing to do, especially in these challenging times. It takes the power of unshakable faith, real love, consistent prayer, and continuous team effort to carry out Our Lord's mandate. Not only these things, but, according to our theme for Two Thousand and Ten, there must be "TEAM COMMITMENT". This commitment must be found in the hearts of all members of the body of Christ.

We must remember that God has given us a Great Vision. The Vision consists of multiple components to meet the needs of members and others in our community. To fulfill this Vision, all of us who are a part of Gospel Water Branch Church need to know the vision, and to be totally committed to fulfilling this Vision. As we know, commitment requires a team of people who have in their hearts, the willingness to suffer long and make unlimited sacrifices.

I encourage all our leaders and members to join in "Team Commitment" to glorify our great God this New Year in Expanding his Kingdom. Let us commit our all to the cause that the Lord has given us and a cause that He expects us to achieve.

I look forward to participating and experiencing the great things that are going to happen in this New Year. With great anticipation and confidence, Let us "REJOICE  IN THE LORD"  for he has done and he is going to do Greater things for us.
